Tessa Stocks

CIPD Level 5

After a career break, Tessa felt like she was starting her career from the bottom again. Now, after completing her CIPD HR Level 5 qualification she's 'extremely hopeful for the future'.

I currently work within HR as an HR administrator for an industrial sized fan company. I had previously worked at a jobcentre where my passion for HR was born, however following a career break I found myself starting at the bottom again. I completed an assessment of my skills, and it was deemed by the ICS Learn advisor that I could begin the Level 5 Diploma in People Management, as I already possessed some HR skills.

I chose ICS Learn because of the low price guarantee, but I was also impressed with the sales advisors knowledge of the course and course material.

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to complete the course and work full time, but with the study planner that is supplied alongside the extensive course material my worries were unfounded.

I have contacted my tutor on several occasions for advice and support and they have replied in a timely manner and the support has answered my queries.

Once I have completed the course I am hoping to progress my career, but I have added to my CV, stating that I am working towards CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management.

I have already gained several interviews and the wage expectations are higher due to this alone. So I am extremely hopeful for the future.

I would definitely recommend ICS and distance learning, although initially a little over whelming the online support has been brilliant and relieved all of my worries.
