CIPD Student Stories: Turita Fogg | CIPD Level 3 Review

I chose this course because I wanted to further develop my skills within the HR function. With the help and support of the ICS Learn advisors, I was given plenty of information regarding the various qualifications, as well as the assistance I needed to get started.

With the goal of up-skilling, I was keen for this course to better my understanding of Human Resources, fill the gaps in my knowledge and better equip me in my current role as Office / HR manager.

Already working within the HR function, I had a good understanding of a HR manager's roles and responsibilities, however in addition to learning on the job 

I was interested in completing a qualification and for me, ICS Learn was the perfect choice.

At first, I was unsure of how to balance online learning around my work responsibilities, concerned about how I would find the time and how I would prioritise my workload.

However, finding time to revise came quite naturally, and I found it really straightforward fitting the qualification around my life. I’ve now also realised that I actually prefer this way of studying to actual class-based studies which is great.

So far, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this course, and my experience has been positive.

I’ve found the student community in which you can share your thoughts, issues, and any obstacles you may have with your fellow learners, to be particularly useful and like any other inclusive learning environment.

Yet, I have not had to reach out to my private tutor for further support but feel confident enough to do so if I needed it.

Because of the above, I highly recommend studying with ICS Learn. The tutors are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and throughout the whole process to date, I’ve felt supported and encouraged to do my best.

Learning from home and at your own pace is also something I am really enjoying so far.
