Getting Started

You'll find information on any qualifications or previous experience you need on each course page within the 'Course Details' section.

Many of our courses don't require any previous experience or qualifications to get started!

If you meet the basic requirements, you don't need anything except a computer to access your course (see system requirements here). We'll provide all the online learning materials and tutor support you need to achieve your career goals.

Online learning gives you the flexibility to study whenever and wherever it suits you, seamlessly shaping your learning around your career, family, and lifestyle.

With ICS Learn, you’ll access your course through our virtual learning platform, mystudyspace, rather than attending in-person classes. You can log in anytime, from any device, and progress through your course at your own pace.

The only deadlines to keep in mind are any required exams (if applicable to your course) and the end of your generous support period, which marks the conclusion of your course access.

We offer two flexible CIPD HR and L&D training options designed to fit around your life – whether you prefer complete independence or a structured learning experience:

  • On Demand Learning: Study at your own pace with self-guided online course materials. Enjoy the freedom of having full control over how you learn, with unlimited tutor support whenever you need it.
  • Live Online Learning: Get the flexibility of online learning with a little bit of added structure. Attend scheduled virtual workshops led by our expert tutors, engage with like-minded peers, and manage your own study schedule in between.

For those who thrive in a more interactive, classroom-style environment, Live Online mirrors a traditional setting, offering real-time guidance and collaboration while still giving you the convenience of learning from anywhere.

No matter which option you choose, you’ll gain the skills you need for the career you want.

*Please note that all our other courses offer On Demand study options only.

Yes, all our courses are available to international students, so you can study from any country except Belarus, Crimean Region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, Moldova, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, and Venezuela. We have students in more than 100 countries!

If your course involves exams, you should contact your local British Council office to find out if you can sit these exams locally. If not, you may need to travel to your nearest exam location or the UK.

We'd recommend you contact our Course Advisors to discuss your study options.

Our Qualifications

Yes, our courses are accredited by globally recognised awarding bodies, ensuring their quality and credibility.

Yes! Our qualifications are awarded by globally recognised and respected organisations, including CIPD, AAT, GCSE, and A Level exam boards, ensuring their quality and credibility. They're also highly valued by employers and educational institutions.

Your qualification will be awarded by the relevant awarding body for your course.

The qualification you receive will be the same as if you'd studied in school, college or university, and will be recognised and respected by employers worldwide.

Our qualifications are generally offered as Awards, Certificates, and Diplomas, with each type differing in depth and study hours rather than difficulty. The Level of the course determines its complexity. For example, a Level 2 is comparable to a GCSE, while Level 7 is comparable to postgraduate-level study.

  • Diplomas are the most comprehensive qualifications at each Level, covering a wide range of topics in-depth and taking the longest to complete.
  • Certificates provide essential knowledge at each Level, offering a shorter but still in-depth learning experience.
  • Awards are the shortest qualifications, typically focusing on a single subject or skill.

The availability of these qualification types varies by course. Some subjects offer multiple options, allowing you to choose the level of detail and commitment that best suits your goals, while others may have a single qualification length available.

Our Online Courses

Once you enrol, you should have access your course through mystudyspace, our virtual learning platform, within one hour.

You'll then have 24/7 access to your online course for the duration of your studies.

Every course is different, but on each course page you'll find information on average completion times as well as the support periods we provide.

The support period indicates how long you'll have access to your course and support.

You can complete the course as quickly or slowly as you choose within this period; the time it takes will depend on how much time you're able to devote to learning each week.

Depending on your course, you will be assessed through in-person or online exams, or submit written assignments online.

You'll find full details on each course page and within each course guide!

If you need to sit in-person exams, this will be noted on the course page, including any additional fees you might have to pay for exams or awarding body membership.

If you have any questions about the assessment or exam arrangements for the course you are interested in, just get in touch with our experienced Course Advisors - they'll be more than happy to help!

Your Payments

The price of your course will vary depending on the qualification you choose. You'll find full details of the course cost and interest-free* payment plan on each course page.
