AAT Student Stories: Alice | AAT Level 3 and Level 4 Review

Alice is now working towards her second AAT qualification with us – she was so impressed with our Advanced Diploma, she progressed to the Professional Diploma.
I completed my AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting through ICS Learn achieving a distinction and I have been so impressed with them I am now studying my AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting with them too.
When I first contacted ICS Learn about studying with them, I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect but they immediately put me at ease with advisors being available to talk to by phone or online chat.
Once I had registered for my course my tutor emailed me straight away and my text books arrived quickly in the post.
The student support was great when I had some issues accessing my text books electronically, getting new codes to me quickly and resolving the issue easily.
I find that I absorb the information best by reading the chapter making notes and then using the online resources through AAT.
I like the end of chapter tests which are available through ICS Learn because they help me to understand what I have taken in and what topics I need to work on further.
There was one chapter which I found particularly difficult and my tutor sent me some further worksheets and then marked them for me so that I could get some more practice before taking my exam.
I have found the feedback from my tutors really helpful. I often email them when I am stuck on a question and find they usually get back to me the same day.
The progress check questions are sometimes tricky but once I have got feedback, I find I understand where I have gone wrong. I find the feedback from my tutors has been personal and encouraging.
I have taken part in a couple of the live lessons and also watched a pre-recorded lesson. In one of the live lessons I was the only student who logged on, so it was great to get one to one time with a tutor.
She tailored the whole session to me and made sure I understood the topic completely. She was also great at explaining the layout of the exam and what was expected of me, so I felt confident in the exam situation.
The pre-recorded lesson was also very helpful, and all of the resources were available so I could follow what had happened when the lesson was recorded live.
Overall, I would recommend ICS Learn as a provider for the AAT Accounting courses.
I have enjoyed studying with them so far and find there is great support available which is really handy when studying alone through distance learning.
