CIPD Student Stories: Jodie Varcoe | CIPD Level 5 Diploma

Jodie wanted to ensure she had the right skills and knowledge to become an HR Manager, HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, and so she got CIPD-qualified. 

I am a HR assistant and currently studying the CIPD Level 5 Associate Level Diploma in People Management.

I wanted a globally recognised qualification which is relevant and practical. The qualification would solidify my skills and expertise in the industry and makes me stand out from the crowd. I needed the chance to widen my range of skills for roles such as HR Manager, HR Advisor, and HR Business Partner.

Developing my analytical and problem-solving skills was a key goal of mine. It would allow me to work on skills I didn’t work on in my day-to-day role and would open opportunities for me to put those skills to use in the future.

The course has been great at developing new skills but also finetuning skills I had forgotten about. My tutor can answer my queries and directs me to the most appropriate source of advice. They also help me to make the most of opportunities available on the course.

I’d recommend ICS for anyone else seeking CIPD studies. The whole process was smooth and simple. All the information you need is well-structured and easy to find.
