AAT Student Stories: Tina Moffat | AAT Level 2 Certificate

Tina just completed her AAT Level 2 and is already signed up for the AAT Level 3 course with us. Read more about her professional development journey.

My name is Tina, and I am an accounts assistant. I have recently sat my last exam for the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting; I just have the nail-biting wait for the results. I have already enrolled in the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, and I am looking forward to getting started on that and continuing my journey of learning.

 I’ve had a varied career, everything from farmers market manager to mortgage adviser, and I have always found myself drawn back to numbers and accounts roles. In my current role, I was given the opportunity to pick a course for further studies.

After a little research, I realised that the AAT qualifications would allow me to study at my own pace and would come with the possibility of progression too.

I found ICS Learn after a Google search and signed up. I was glad it was an online course, as this meant I could work at my own pace. Some weeks are busier than others, which means there is not much time for study, but on quieter weeks I could do extra study and work through the materials as fast as I liked.

I also liked the fact you could book the exams at times that suit you, which was great for fitting in around work and family life.

I found the course easy to navigate and work through. A lot of this course involved things I was doing on a daily basis, so it was great to get some theory to go along with the practical. I was fortunate enough to not require any tutor support for this course, but I always received actionable comments on any marked assignments.

I would recommend ICS as a learning provider because their courses are easy to navigate, and it’s easy to get in touch with tutors or student support if you need to.
