GCSE Student Stories: Scarlett Hughes | GCSE Psychology
14 February 2025 - 2 min read
Scarlett was over the moon when she earned a Grade 9 in GCSE Psychology with ICS Learn.
Knowing that I would perhaps like to work in Psychology in the future, I wanted to learn more about the field and what studying the subject would actually entail.
However, because my school didn't have the option of studying the subject, I ended up looking at different online providers, and eventually came across ICS Learn.
One of the most affordable options I could find, I chose ICS Learn after reading more about their reputation of being being a professional, high-quality company.
There was also lots of positive reviews from previous students who had enjoyed their courses, making it an easy decision in the end.
My main reservation about choosing online learning was keeping up with the workload. However, I knew that I could be organised and dedicated, as I was really interested in the subject and had a good tutor to keep me on track.
Friendly and helpful, whenever I had a question my tutor took the time to explain the answers clearly, making sure I understood before moving on.
I found the content of the course to be very interesting and varied. The layout and system of the course were very flexible, it was structured into organised units with an end-of-unit test at the end of each, but still allows you to work in your own order if you prefer.
The website was easy to use and I never had any difficulties when accessing my studies. I was also regularly updated by the ICS Learn team with relevant events that I needed to know of.
I never had any difficulties communicating with my tutor or any other members of the ICS Learn team, everyone was always polite and usually responded in as little as 24 hours.
After learning all the content in the course, I found my tutor continued to be incredibly helpful throughout revision before the exams.
They provided me with clear explanations to any last questions I had and extra resources and practice questions for revision.
I received a grade 9 in my exam, which I was incredibly pleased about. This qualification helped me to begin my knowledge and learning of Psychology and will assist me in the future going on to higher qualifications.
Thanks to the positive experience I had learning Psychology through ICS Learn, I plan to definitely pursue Psychology at A level and maybe even at a university level one day.
I would defiantly recommend ICS Learn to anybody who enjoys learning at their own pace, but with professional, friendly support.
