Jorge wanted to pursue a career change, so he enrolled on the CIPD Level 7 with ICS Learn to make it happen!

In life, we often find ourselves at crossroads, faced with unexpected challenges that can alter the trajectory of our careers. For me, this pivotal moment came when I was made redundant from my role as a customer service manager for an online company. It was a turning point that made me realise the importance of qualifications in unlocking new career opportunities within operations, human resources, and beyond, especially when my professional life did not follow from my academic achievements.

My background was in science and teaching, and while I had gained valuable experience in customer service, I knew that to reach my full potential, I needed to equip myself with the necessary qualifications. Roles in the Civil Service, which I was particularly interested in, required not only experience but also CIPD certification or relevant qualifications.

That is when I set my sights on the CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management. In the meantime, I got a job related to my area of expertise.
