CIPD Student Stories: Leila Clack | CIPD Level 3 Certificate

Even while on maternity leave, Office Manager, Leila was able to complete her qualification as everything she needed was online.

I’m an Office Manager for an Electrical Contractor and I manage all the employees and HR aspects within the business, and I wanted a qualification to back this up, along with extra knowledge, as my knowledge was quite basic.

I signed up for Level 3 CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice and I chose ICS Learn as they were flexible with studying and also allowed an interest free to pay monthly option.

I’m glad I chose ICS Learn as it meant I could study in my own time. I ended up going on maternity leave but luckily this wasn't something to worry about as I was still able to complete my course when I had the time, as the material was available 24/7 online.

I was quite nervous that I wouldn’t pass, as it’s been years since I have studied, and I hadn’t completed assignments since I was in school, but there is so much assistance that if I was stuck on anything, the tutors were there for me to reach out too.

The tutors are great, and very quick with responses, I didn’t have to contact them too much, as there is a lot of course material on the portal that is useful. If I did, however, they were there to assist me.

I have recently completed my course and passed which I’m very pleased with. I eventually want to become a HR Manager, and although I’m going to have a break with studying for now, I want to eventually enrol and complete Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, and I will definitely be signing up and completing with ICS again.

I would highly recommend ICS Learn if you are looking to study in any sector, they do various courses, and I have already referred a colleague who is now completing another course and is enjoying it!
