Sophie hadn't studied in 10 years, but found studying with ICS Learn much easier than she thought!

When I started my job as an office coordinator in the building services industry, there was mention that I might need to pick up ‘some HR duties’ that had fallen by the wayside.

I enquired about training courses to help me with this aspect of my role, and came across ICS Learn on a Google search.

The reviews were good, and I reached out to an advisor who talked me through each step of the process. Within a week, I had enrolled on the Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management. It was as easy as that!

The range of modules was a big draw for me, as it gave me so many options to choose from in order to personalise my studies to something that would be as relevant as possible to the industry I work in.

The support from tutors as well as the student area has been second to none and studying with ICS Learn has been so much easier than I thought it would be!

I left university 10 years ago and was very nervous about enrolling on an online course, but following the course has been really straight forward and it was much easier than expected to slip back into the habit of studying and completing the assignments.

The varied nature of the assignments has also been a lifesaver.

It’s not all boring essays and spitting out facts and figures, but the variety of ways that you are asked to present information makes it so much more interesting to produce pieces of work to be proud of.

The tutors are so knowledgeable and the student community are always there to help each other, even if you think you have a stupid question – someone else is always in the same boat!!

I plan to study further for my Level 7 eventually, as I would like to pursue the HR aspects of my role in more depth.

Since starting my studies, the majority of my job is now more focused on People Management than anyone initially planned, and so I plan to continue this further as there is a business need for it, as well as having an interest in studying the subject as it is one I love.
